Valentin Podpomogov

1924 – Born in Yerevan.

From 1940 – Worked at the “Hayfilm” film studio, participating in the creation of several animated and feature films.

1960-1964 – Served as the chief artist in Yerevan.

From 1958 – Member of the Cinematographers’ Union.

From 1959 – Member of the Union of Artists of Armenia.

From 1967 – Honored Artist of Armenia.

From 1975 – Began focusing on painting.

One of the founders of the “Vozni” weekly magazine.

1998 – Died in Yerevan.

His works are held in the Contemporary Art Museum (Yerevan), and in numerous private collections in Armenia and abroad.
