1910 – Born in Tiflis (Tbilisi).
1929 – Graduated from the art school associated with “Hayartun,” led by the artist G. Sharbabchyan.
1936-1956 – Served as the Director of the Tbilisi Armenian Youth Theater (later known as the State Armenian Theater named after S. Shahumyan), where he was also the Chairman of the Artistic Council and a stage designer.
From 1974 – Honored retiree of republican significance, and an Honored Figure of Culture of Georgia.
Participant in numerous national, all-Union, and international exhibitions (Armenia, Russia, European countries, USA, Canada).
1979 – Moved to Yerevan.
Published the album “Ode to Old Tbilisi” (“Khelovneba,” Georgia, “Soviet Writer,” Armenia).
1989 – The “Elibekyans” exhibition took place (Museum of Peoples of the East, Moscow), which became a traditional event held annually in different countries.
1991 – The album “Vagharshak Elibekyan” was published (“Kheperarts,” Moscow).
1994 – Died in Yerevan.

Works are held in the Museum of Contemporary Art (Yerevan), the National Gallery of Armenia (Yerevan), the Museum of Literature (Yerevan), the National Gallery of Georgia (Tbilisi), and galleries in Moscow and Baku, as well as numerous private collections in Armenia and abroad.
