1910 – Born in Kuriye (Turkey).
Received artistic education in private studios, particularly with the French artist Claude Michel.
From 1930 – Regularly participated in group and solo exhibitions held in Lebanon and New York.
1935 – Became one of the founders of the Union of Lebanese Artists.
From 1946 – Established permanent residence in Armenia. The same year, became a member of the Union of Artists of Armenia.
1961 – Had solo exhibitions in Moscow and Yerevan.
1967 – Died in Yerevan.
1971-1973 – Solo and group exhibitions in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Yerevan.
1997 – Memoirs dedicated to Haroutiun Kalents were published by the artist’s wife, Armine Kalents.
2000 – Exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of his birth.
Works are held in the Museum of Contemporary Art (Yerevan), the National Gallery of Armenia, and numerous private collections in Armenia and abroad.
